The Plastic Pelletizer combines compaction, plasticizing and granulating functions, and it is suitable for all kinds of recyclable plastics. If you are only recycling in-plant waste you can use the pelletizing system directly. If you are recycling waste plastics and the impurity content of the raw material is higher than 60%, you will need to use a plastic washing and recycling line for pelletizing.
There are a variety of plastic recycling pelletizing systems available. Choosing the right pelletizing system is critical to the quality of the material and the final product.
Stretching and cutting systems
In a slitting pelletizer, typically used for PET plastics, the plastic melt is first cooled and solidified in a water bath. The plastic is then passed through an air knife to make pellets, while water is removed from the surface of the pellets.
Water ring pelletizing system
In the water ring pelletizing system (also known as hot die surface pelletizing), the plastic melt from the recycling extruder is cut directly by rotating knives attached to the die surface.
The plastic pellets are produced and cooled immediately inside the water ring, rinsed out and separated from the water on a vibrating table.
Water ring pelletizing system – double stage
Addition of a melt filtration section at the rear end of the basic water ring pelletizing system for pp materials and plastics with a high impurity content.
