In the plastic cleaning and recycling process Sink Float Separation Tank is an essential recycling equipment.
Usually Sink Float Separation Tank is the first washing/separation device for plastics after downsizing and separates the sinking material, floating material and impurities by applying the density of 1g/cm3 of water. The bottom of the tank adopts a screw pushing structure to prevent the accumulation of impurities and reduce maintenance costs.
PET Bottle Recycling
In PET bottle recycling, the bottle first passes through a tumbler screen and label remover which has removed most of the sediment metal and labels, but the whole bottle still contains PP/PE caps and sealing rings. This is easily and accurately separated from the stream using our flume float separator. This is because PET has a density of 1.38 g/cm3 and the PET plastic stays at the top while the PP and PE plastic will reach the bottom of the tank.
Plastic Film Recycling
PP / PE plastic films are difficult to clean and recycle because they contain large amounts of sediment, rocks, metal and glass, but these contaminants are usually submerged material and the film is floating material.
The main point is that soft plastics are very easily entangled and knotted, which requires a cleaning roller, a multi-claw cleaning roller and the lowest possible water content at the discharge.
